It's that time of year where the weather becomes warmer and the beaches more inviting. Unfortunately not every visit to the beach ends with a smile. According to Royal Life Saving 280 people drowned in Australian waters last year. As a surf school we cannot stress enough how important it is to learn about the ocean and the surfing environment. So we've put together some personal surfing safety tips to keep your summer fun and accident free!
Earlier this year, three local West Australian surfer’s embarked on a mission, and that mission was to enhance the lives of those living with Autism through surfing. Fast-forward several months and the lads have successfully launched ‘Ocean Heroes’, a Not for profit organisation based here in Perth.
Are you thinking about taking your kids surfing and to introduce them to the wonderful world of wave riding?
If your answer is yes, there would be many questions popping into your head. For example “What age is appropriate to start surfing?” or “How do I make sure that my child is safe?”. In this article we will try to fill in the blank space.
How to fill in the online booking form?
Choose the start date and time of the first surfing lesson in the booking from.
If you've selected a multi-day course (3 or 5 lessons), you will be able to schedule the remaining lessons in your own personal account. Lessons are not necessarily on consecutive days. You can pick and choose the days and times based on our availability. We recommend scheduling all the surf lessons from your course within a 4 months of purchase.
Your account details (login) will be sent to your email address after you make the booking.
What happens when I fill in the online booking form?
You will receive an automatic email with a confirmation of your reservation and your login for your online surfing agenda.
You will find all the information you need to fully prepare yourself for your course.
The evening prior (or earlier) to your lesson/hire day you will receive an email and text message. The message will tell you whether your surf lesson/hire is confirmed or canceled based on the weather. 75% of all lessons are usually confirmed. When we canceled, you will be able to reschedule that lesson/hire in your account. This ensures that you received what you paid for!
